Master Chess

Description

Master Chess simulates a real-life chess game. You must have intelligent strategies to defeat your tough opponents before they do and try to keep many stars.

The six different types of pieces move in six different ways. Although it is one of the weakest pieces, the king piece is the most crucial. Only one square can be moved by the king in any direction, including up, down, to the sides, and diagonally. The queen is the piece with the most clout. It is free to go as far as it can in any straight direction, whether forward, backward, sideways, or diagonally, provided it doesn't pass through any of its pieces. The queen's turn is finished if it captures a piece belonging to an opponent, just like with all other pieces. Note how the black king is compelled to move when the white queen captures the black queen. The only directions in which the rook piece may move are forward, backward, and to the sides. The rooks make interesting playing pieces when they cooperate and defend one another. The bishop piece can only travel in one direction: diagonally. The knights move considerably differently from the other pieces; they first move two squares in one direction before making one additional move that forms an "L"-shaped turn at a 90-degree angle. The only pieces that can move over other pieces are knights. The way pawns move, and capture is peculiar since they move forward but diagonally. Except for their initial move, which allows them to advance two squares, pawn pieces can only move forward one square at a time.
