In this game, elements are the fundamental building blocks of creation, and it is up to you as the player to experiment with various components as you combine them to make new elements and things. You will only have the basic elements, such as fire, air, and life, when the game initially begins. Click on one of these components, then the other, to combine them. If the elements are compatible with one another, they will combine to form a new element. There are a total of 15 separate groups that each include all of the components.
